Is it all about getting featured on the app news?
The blind race of smartphone production has dragged the manufacturers to release too many smartphones in the market, but they’ve miserable failed at providing constant support and updates, to retain the loyalty of their customers for a longer time. What did they miss out – the top spot on the latest app news
Sure thing, the latest mobile launches do create an impact, to promote the brand, but the app news these days render greater publicity to any company. Despite over 20-25 different Blackberry models in use, Blackberry Corporation has been continuously releasing one or the other new device in every 2-3months. However, something that they’ve failed to realize is the mere fact that only production doesn’t help the cause. People need constant support, updates, and newer developments, to keep them interested in the mobile phone that they’re currently using.
People are more concerned towards the app available for use with their smartphone rather than the facilities offered, as every other smartphone today offers high-end specs. Off-late Nokia has been able to grab the limelight of the app news headlines as they announced a Battery Extender app for S60 smartphones.
On the other hand, Sony Ericsson and other symbian phone manufacturers have been longing to get featured on the headlines of the latest app news as well, but unfortunately since the winner takes it all, you’re most likely to find only Apple all over the place.
Occasionally you might read Blackberry and few other names, though they might be tagged with negative terms these days, rather than some positive stuff in terms of the app news.
Just a couple of months back, Nokia was considered to be the biggest loser, since they don’t have anything similar to the App store and the Blackberry App World, but things have suddenly changed with the announcement of the latest Battery Extender App.
The biggest app news these days was the 1 billionth download of the iPhone app from the App store, and once again it was Apple, who succeeded in achieving the unthinkable.
But, the most noticeable part of Apple’s success is the fact that Apple has fought all the way only with the iPhone, with minor upgrades in terms of hardware. But, the OSX and the killer apps have been the key behind their success as a whole.
